Bayern Munich just won their 10th successive Bundesliga title, but they failed miserably in the Champions League. The Bavarians were shocked by Villarreal in the quarterfinals and will now be looking to make some changes ahead of the 2022-23 campaign where their eyes will be set on capturing European glory.

However, things aren't all sweet at the club. Robert Lewandowski wanted a new three-year deal but due to Bayern's rules with players over 30, they weren't willing to give him an extension of that stature. The Pole, who is arguably the most clinical finisher in Europe, is now keen on leaving Munich for Barcelona. That's certainly concerning and Bayern is hoping to figure out the situation sooner rather than later.

That being said, here are 3 moves Bayern must make in the summer transfer window.

3 moves Bayern must make in summer transfer window

Let Robert Lewandowski leave

This is a hard one to swallow, but at this point, it's the only solution. Lewandowski said last weekend that he may have played his last game in a Bayern uniform and his agent, Pini Zahavi, told German outlet Bild that Lewa wants to leave the Allianz Arena.

When you think of this club, Lewandowski is the first name that comes to mind. He is such a phenomenal striker and Julian Nagelsmann's whole system revolves around getting the Polish international balls to bang in the net. However, Barcelona is fighting tirelessly for his signature and already has a three-year deal waiting for him. Of course, this entire saga could've all been put to bed if Bayern just handed Lewandowski a three-year extension. But now, he is evidently over it and wants out.

Losing Lewandowski is going to hurt. Bayern must find a replacement ASAP because the writing is essentially on the wall.

Bring in a Lewandowski replacement

The next step is to find a striker who can come in and bag goals on a consistent basis. There's almost no one that will be available who can score 40+ times in a single campaign like Lewandowski, but there are a few intriguing options for Bayern.

Sebastien Haller failed miserably at West Ham then took off for Ajax where he absolutely flourished this term in his second season in the Dutch capital. The Ivory Coast international scored 21 goals and laid on seven assists in 31 appearances. While that's impressive in itself, it was his production in the Champions League that opened eyes across the continent. Haller scored 11 times in eight UCL outings, even bagging four in a single match against Sporting Lisbon in the group stages. Haller is a target man with a wonderful presence and he is coming off one of his best seasons yet. While he's yet to prove himself in a bigger league like the Bundesliga, Bayern could take a chance on him.

Patrik Schick of Leverkusen is another viable option. He finished second to Lewandowski with 24 league goals in 2021-22 and has a knack for producing in the final third. The 26-year-old is 6'3″ and is also terrific in the air. The Czech international is already familiar with what it takes to succeed in Germany and he even played for Nagelsmann in 2019-20, scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances. He was the second-best striker in the top flight this season in terms of numbers. Bayern should certainly have Schick on their radar.

Sign Ryan Gravenberch

Aside from the striker situation, Bayern is set to lose midfielder Corentin Tolisso this summer as he is expected to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires. Die Roten has been linked to Ajax starlet Ryan Gravenberch, who is just 20-years-old. He's one of their top transfer targets and would instantly improve the side in the engine room.

90min reported earlier this month that Bayern has already agreed to terms with Gravenberch and Ajax teammate Noussair Mazraoui. While nothing concrete was announced yet, signing Gravenberch, in particular, is key. The Dutch international is a true No. 8 with special technical abilities and an eye for a pass. He's extremely strong for his age and has no problem knocking opponents off the ball with his physical attributes.

Gravenberch is clearly ready to move on from Ajax and he deserves to play at a bigger club. With Tolisso leaving, he could get quite the opportunity to showcase his talents next season with Bayern. He's already made over 100 appearances for Ajax at the tender age of 20 as well. Although Gravenberch is inconsistent at times, playing with a better club and players will raise his level and help him improve even more as he looks to become a regular in the Dutch National Team.
