The Los Angeles Rams got the job done on Thursday Night Football as they defeated the Seattle Seahawks 26-17. It was a big win over a divisional rival and the victory pushed LA to 4-1 on the season. It's time to continue our NFL takeaways series with a Rams Week 5 takeaway.

It was a slow first half for the Rams, but they eventually found their bearings and pulled away in the third and fourth quarters. They did allow DK Metcalf to have a big game, but he was the only guy who could do anything for the Seahawks. Los Angeles is in the heat of a playoff race with the Arizona Cardinals for now.

Offensively, the Rams came together and put on a solid performance. Darrell Henderson proved to be a reliable rusher out of the backfield and has a bright future on the team. Additionally, Robert Woods had the best game of the season so far and Matthew Stafford continued his hot streak. With that said, here are three Rams Week 5 takeaways from their game against the Seahawks.

Rams Week 5 Takeaways

3. Darrell Henderson is the best running back on the roster

Darrell Henderson stepped up when his team needed him the most. He ended the night with 82 yards off of 17 attempts. Henderson also scored a touchdown, providing the Rams with solid production in the run game. Although the front office traded for Sony Michel, Darrell Henderson has played well enough to retain the starting role.

He's playing at a high level, which means the Rams have to consider keeping him involved next year when Cam Akers returns. Henderson has been rather consistent so far and may have earned a long-term role with the organization. We'll see how it plays out, but for now, look for Henderson to build off of this performance.

2. Robert Woods comes alive with a big performance

It's been the Cooper Kupp show lately, but Robert Woods reminded the league just how good he is. He led his team with 12 receptions for 150 receiving yards and played as the best wideout on the field. Seattle had no answer for Robert Woods, as he torched the Seahawks for big gains throughout the evening.

After a performance like that, Woods likely remains involved with the Rams passing attack. We should see him and Kupp alternate as the top wideout in Los Angeles as Matthew Stafford spreads the ball around to his talented receiving group.

1. Matthew Stafford is the best thing for the Rams

The roster is essentially the exact same as last year but the team is substantially better. Matthew Stafford has been on fire since day one, giving the Rams exactly what they've been missing. Los Angeles has a high-powered offense along with a stout defense. This combination makes them an early Super Bowl contender out of the NFC.

There is no reason to believe that Stafford will slow down any time soon. He has an amazing team built around him along with a head coach who dials up the right play calls. Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay have the potential to become a dangerous duo in the NFL. Look for Stafford to continue playing at an MVP level throughout the entire season.
