The Tennessee Titans defeated the heralded New England Patriots this past weekend, advancing to the divisional round of the AFC Playoffs. Now, the surging Titans will be tasked with trying to outperform the No. 1 seeded Baltimore Ravens.

If the sixth-seeded Titans are ultimately going to dethrone the top-seeded Ravens, who have yet to play a postseason game this time around due to the team's bye week to kick things off, it will needed to be quite the well-rounded effort from Tennessee on Saturday evening in Baltimore.

It is also worth noting that the Titans and Ravens go way back to when these two AFC franchises played in the same division — which actually pre-dates the AFC South as it is constructed today. With the likes of Eddie George, Steve McNair and Ray Lewis — among others — previously leading the charge, it will be Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson doing the same this time around.

One thing is for sure whether or not the Titans actually pull off the shocking victory in the divisional round — there will be fireworks in Baltimore this weekend.

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry just cannot be stopped

Unless you live under a rock, you know that Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry just absolutely torched the New England Patriots and the team's top-ranked defense. Henry went off for more than 200 yards from scrimmage while sometimes handling Titans' offensive series all by himself — literally.

Thanks to Henry and his unstoppable nature, the Titans have a pretty solid shot at pulling off the upset on Saturday evening against the Baltimore Ravens. Even though the Ravens post a similar threat to that of the Patriots as both teams have terrific defenses, no defense in the NFL can seem to figure out how to contain Henry, who led the entire NFL in rushing yards in 2019-20.

Although the Ravens do serve as a legitimate threat standing in the way of an unlikely postseason run from the Titans, Henry has all the momentum in the world behind him at this point. He is coming off of back-to-back 200-yard games and may just go off yet again in Baltimore if the Ravens aren't careful.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill can beat you with his arm too

Last week against the New England Patriots, it was totally the “Derrick Henry Show” as Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill didn't need to use his arm in order to win. However, things might be different this time around as the Baltimore Ravens are preparing for a huge dose of Derrick Henry in the divisional round. If the Ravens take Henry away, the Titans will need Tannehill to air it out to wide receiver Corey Davis, A.J. Brown and Tajae Sharpe in addition to tight end Jonnu Smith.

Tannehill didn't need to do it last week but the former Miami Dolphins signal caller has shown that he has the ability to torch opposing defenses with his arm all season long in 2019-20.

The Tennessee Titans have the defense to slow down the Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens offense and All-Pro quarterback Lamar Jackson cannot be completely stopped. Jackson and company can only be slowed down with the opposing team simply grasping onto the hope of somehow outscoring this incredibly prolific offensive attack.

However, the Tennessee Titans might have the recipe to edge the Ravens and the team's high powered attack. Coupled with running back Derrick Henry, the Titans also have a stout defense lined with talented players. The Titans can slow down the Ravens offense by both keeping them off the field and keeping them out of the end zone.

The Tennessee Titans are simply a hot team right now

Despite just barely sneaking into the playoffs this season, the Tennesse Titans became one of the hottest teams in the entire NFL down the stretch. With backup-turned-starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill now under center, the Titans have a real shot at upending the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round.

Winning eight of the 11 games in which Tannehill started this season, the Titans couldn't be more confident at the moment considering the team is fresh off of a huge road win over the heralded New England Patriots. One of the hottest teams in all the land with the Ravens now in their sights, don't be surprised if such momentum carries the Titans to a win on Saturday evening.
