The San Francisco 49ers pulled off the unexpected victory over Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau field – but it wasn't without cost.

Trent Williams was seen in crutches and headed straight to the X-ray room after injuring his ankle in the win. The 49ers star was able to finish the game but had his foot wrapped heavily at its conclusion.

Via Nick Wagoner:

LT Trent Williams and WR Deebo Samuel both dealing with ankle issues more testing will be done tomorrow on both. Shanahan said he thought Deebo was ok based on how he was celebrating. But more will be known tomorrow

The 49ers can't afford to lose Trent Williams, who was arguably the best left tackle in the NFL this season. He managed to garner his first All-Pro selection and yet another Pro Bowl appearance, his ninth consecutive time in his 11-year NFL career.

Williams' injury status will probably garner more clarity as the 49ers return to San Francisco after the victory. The fact that he was able to withstand the pain until the end of the game bodes well for its severity. We'll have more on Trent Williams' ankle injury in the lead up to the 49ers' NFC championship game.
