When George Kittle hopped the rails at WrestleMania 39 to answer one of The Miz's many open challenges as the host of the “Showcase of the Immortals,” it was a surreal moment for the 70,000+ plus WWE fans packed into SoFi Stadium.

Now sure, SoFi is unquestionably the Rams' house, as they have fans chant weekly during the NFL season, but considering the NFL was absent from LA for much of the last 30 years, the San Francisco 49ers have taken a strong hold over the community, with a sea of red and gold jerseys overtaking the blue and gold levy routinely when the Niners come to town. While not every fan in the arena was into football, enough were to get the crowd cheering to a massive degree, garnering one of the bigger pops of the night in a combo pro-Kittle, anti-Miz sentiment.

And yet, one person who wasn't happy about the situation was 49ers GM John Lynch, who told Marc Raimondi in an expansive interview for ESPN about what NFL players do in the offseason, that he was happy that his tight end had fun but was not happy about the physicality involved in the viral moment.

“Hope you had fun, don't do that again,” John Lynch told George Kittle after WrestleMania 39.

To his credit, Kittle did try his very best to keep things as safe as possible, as he really only hit the “Awesome One” with a running clothesline and ran around the ring without taking a move or a fall, but still, if he tore his ACL on the spot, it would have been a disaster for his own financial situation and for the team in 2023. Still, based on Kittle's comments, it seems like he gets it, as even if he loves wrestling, he does his best to be safe outside of the ring while still committed to his NFL career.

“I honestly am one of probably the safest guys; I don't do anything,” George Kittle explained. “I might occasionally be in a wrestling ring, but I'm not doing too much. I'm very aware football is everything, and so I don't even try to go skiing and stuff like that. That's not even on my mind.”

Could Kittle eventually leave the 49ers behind to join the WWE, AEW, or another promotion? Most definitely, at 30, Kittle only has so many seasons left before he has to hang up his cleats for good. Fortunately, 35 is considered a wrestler's prime, and as a result, he could have a very good second career in the ring with millions of dollars in the bank to ensure he can do what he loves regardless of the financial compensation.

The Miz wants to see more NFL representation in WWE.

While The Miz found himself on the wrong end of a charging George Kittle at WrestleMania 39, he got to see another surprise appearance from the gridiron the following year from the locker room in Philadelphia, where Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson helped to save the LWO from an attack at the hands of Judgment Day.

Asked by TMZ about NFL stars making their way into the ring, Miz let it be known that he would love to see the Kelces come through WWE more often, especially with SummerSlam coming up in Cleveland this summer.

“The way I look at is [as] more of a fan of the Kelces. I've played golf with Travis, and what an incredible human being,” The Miz told TMZ via Fightful. “Even when we were golfing, I was like, ‘When are you coming to WWE? When are you coming to WrestleMania? Jason, I've never met him, but those are Cleveland guys, and that guy, he's played for Philadelphia, it seems like a home run to me. But who knows? He's retired. He might just want to relax and chill out. Or he'd like to come to Philadelphia for WrestleMania.”

Asked if he would train someone like Kelce for the NFL, Miz said sure, noting that he knows what it means to be successful in the WWE and could be willing to help get a charismatic ion like the former Eagles center back into the ring.

“H*ll yeah. I'd train him into a superstar. As big of a superstar as he is in the NFL, we'll make him as big of a superstar in WWE. He could be very dangerous in a WWE ring,” The Miz explained. “Not only with just the athleticism and the wrestling, which I think he could absolutely do. I've watched him jump up at a Bila game from down, and jump up into a window. I was like, ‘Oh my god, this guy's 300 pounds. How did he do that? That's incredible.' Then the athleticism you see on the football field, but then the charisma [too], the ability to talk on a microphone and be captivating and innovative is something that I think he just has a knack for. So whatever I think Jason Kelce wants to do, whether it is to come to WWE for WrestleMania, wink, or do something in podcasting, which he already is, or if he wants to just do something in the NFL, coaching, whatever he wants to do, I think the world's his oyster.”

Would it be cool to see the Kelce brothers land in WWE as a tag team long-term? Most definitely, but frankly, it's hard to see that happening, as between ESPN gigs, podcasts, and Taylor Swift, they appear too busy for a full-time career in WWE. George Kittle, however, feels much more getable, and if he can make up with The Miz after their ugly interaction in Inglewood, the possibilities are endless.
