One of the most intriguing talents in this year's draft class has been without a doubt former standout UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball.

Ball is expected to be one of the top selections in the 2017 NBA Draft later this month. In line with the notion, Jessica Camerato of CSN Philly is reporting that the Philadelphia 76ers want to schedule an individual workout with the 19-year-old in the coming days.

The 76ers currently hold the third overall pick in the draft and could be a realistic destination if both the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers choose to pass on him in the top two spots. Although Ball has voiced a strong desire to join the Lakers, he has also shown that he is open to the possibility of being selected by Philadelphia as there were reports that he was interested in arranging a workout with them.

The UCLA product is expected to go through a solo workout with the Lakers on Wednesday where he will also meet with the coaching staff and front personnel. Los Angeles isn't believed to be completely sold on Ball's potential on the court, but the face-to-face meeting should give them a better feel of what he has to bring to the table.

As for the 76ers, special team advisor Jerry Colangelo, last week, voiced some concerns about the people around Ball. That said, the decision to look into scheduling a workout with him shows that the organization views his talent outweighing the possible distractions off of it.
