Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon will be staying busy this offseason.
The repeat championship coach will be back in ESPN's studios, serving as a studio analyst for the 2023-24 NBA season, via Richard Deitsch of The Athletic. Hammon was previously a studio analyst for ESPN during the 2022-2023 NBA season.
Hammon will be joined in this studio this season by four-time NBA champion Andre Igouodla, former Knicks General Manager Scott Perry, NBA guard Austin Rivers and former Connecticut Sun head coach Stephanie White, ESPN announced in a press call Monday, via Barrett Sports Media.
Hammon is fresh off of winning the WNBA championship with the Las Vegas Aces for the second consecutive year. The Aces are celebrating that victory Monday with a parade on the strip. The team had an impressive 34-6 record this season, making history as the first WNBA team to win over 30 games, via ESPN.
Becky Hammon joined the Aces in 2022, giving the team one of its best records ever and its first championship that same season. She was a three-time All-American guard at Colorado State, and played 16 seasons with the WNBA.
Before becoming the Aces’ head coach, Hammon spent eight seasons in the NBA as an assistant coach under Greg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs, the first woman to do so in the NBA. Both Hammon and Popovich were recently inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in August.
