Kalen DeBoer has been the head coach of the Alabama football team for about five months now, and he is doing a great job with recruiting so far. DeBoer hasn't had the chance to show what his team's on-field product will look like, but he is signing a lot of talented players for the future. That's a good sign of what's to come for the Crimson Tide. One of Alabama's latest pickups is four-star offensive tackle Jackson Lloyd.

Alabama football has landed a few top offensive linemen recently, and Jackson Lloyd is one of them. As one of the top OTs in the entire country, Lloyd had a lot of attractive offers. He chose the Crimson Tide because of their strong desire to be the best.

“What stood out most at Alabama was their winning culture and doing everything to be the best,” Lloyd said, according to an article from 247 Sports.

Lloyd was recruited by Kalen DeBoer before he became the head coach of Alabama. He was talking to Lloyd while he was with Washington, and when the mix of coach and program came together, it made the decision easier for the four-star prospect.

“At Washington, I loved them,” Lloyd said. “I went to go check out when they played Oregon and just loved how they coached. And then, obviously, like the history of Alabama. Definitely like the best of both worlds.”

Alabama has been one of the best programs in college football for a long time, and they ruled the last 15 or so years with Nick Saban leading the way. It's a premier program, and Lloyd thinks that it is the best of the best, and he certainly doesn't mind the new coaching staff.

“The facilities were incredible, they have seemingly thought of everything,” Lloyd added. “You can definitely tell that the University of Alabama loves their football program and invests heavily into them. Alabama is like the best there is. I love the coaching staff. the whole coaching staff, I have been talking to them since Washington. I just love them. All the stuff they have there, like I said, it's like the best there is.”

The 2025 Alabama football recruiting class didn't get an offensive line commitment for awhile, but they have now landed three in a little over a week. OL coach Chris Kapilovic has been on fire as of late. The Crimson Tide earned commitments from Jackson Lloyd, Mal Waldrep and Michael Carroll. Carroll is a four-star and Waldrep is a three-star.

Jackson Lloyd is a four-star prospect according to 247 Sports. He is the #146 player in the 2025 recruiting class, the #16 OT and the #13 player in the state of California. He currently attends Carmel High School in Carmel, California.

Lloyd had offers from a lot of good schools. Ohio State, Auburn, Oregon, Penn State and Tennessee to name a few. The Crimson Tide stood above the rest.

OL coach Chris Kapilovic hasn't been with Alabama football for long as this is his first season, but he is doing a good job so far. He was with Michigan State last year, and it took a bit for him to get going once taking this new job, but he is now looking good on the recruiting trail.
