The book is part of Disney’s utilization of the acquired 20th Century Fox catalog. Although it did raise eyebrows among fans of the franchise. Priced at $5.99 and illustrated by the Disney Storybook Art Team, the book will release on July 9, 2024.

Promoted as an educational tool, the family-friendly Alien franchise book promises to take young readers on a space adventure. This will come with characters like Ripley and the Nostromo crew. But will introduce anything Alien-related through alphabet from A to Z. As for the description, the book emphasizes a light-hearted reimagining of the iconic movie “Alien.” Therefore promising delight for fans of all ages and collectors of Little Golden Books.

The cover art, showcased by Penguin Random House, maintains a kid-friendly aesthetic. While capturing the grim setting of the Nostromo spacecraft. The marketing emphasizes the humor as well. “In space, no one can hear you giggle as you read this Little Golden Book featuring the characters from the classic movie ‘Alien.'”

Expressing skepticism about the child-appropriate adaptation, the author questions how the book will handle the brutal deaths of characters like Brett, Parker, and Kane.

Despite the unlikely pairing of Alien and children’s literature, the book is available for pre-order in both physical and Kindle versions on Amazon.
