The city of Denver is on the cusp of getting another championship trophy. The Colorado Avalanche are one win away from bringing the Stanley Cup back to Colorado. Currently, the Avs have a 3-1 series lead over the two-time defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning. The Avs have had an insanely entertaining run through the playoffs, and fans have thoroughly enjoyed the ride. The success of the Avs has left other pro sports teams in the city feeling inspired, especially the Denver Broncos.

Throughout the playoff run, multiple Broncos players, coaches, and personnel have been seen cheering on their crosstown hockey pals. Russell Wilson and his wife Ciara have been seen at many Avalanche home games, even bringing their kids along for a fun night out:

Current president of football operations John Elway has also been in attendance for some of the playoff games:

Broncos players who haven't been able to attend some of the games have voiced their support for the Avs on Twitter. Needless to say, seeing the success of the Avs has not only got Broncos players feeling good, but also feeling inspired.

“I’ve gone to every series leading up to the Stanley Cup (on Wednesday),” said safety Justin Simmons. “Just to hear how electric it is in there, I can’t wait to hear that and see that sea of orange when we are back in our home stadium and playing in big-time games. I can’t wait.”

Head coach Nathaniel Hackett, who is relatively new to the city of Denver, loved attending his first Avs game. He admits that seeing the energy and excitement in the stadium has left him even hungrier for success with the Broncos.

“To be able to bring that to the Denver Broncos and bring that energy and bring that juice — that’s what we need, what we want, and what we want to be a part of because we’re the Denver Broncos,” said Hackett. “We want to bring it because what’s going on in that arena when the Avalanche play is unbelievable.”

The city of Denver is itching for another championship, and the Avalanche are on the cusp of bringing home their third Stanley Cup in franchise history. Later Friday evening, the Avalanche will face the Lightning in Denver for Game 5 of the series.
