Tentpole releases have conditioned audiences to sit through the credits and expect some sort of mid-credits or post-credits scene. Does Greta Gerwig's Barbie film feature any sort of post-credits tag to tease another Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-led film?

Does Barbie have a post-credits scene?

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Barbie

After an open-ended ending that sees Barbie go to the real world, now going as Barbara Handler in honor of the daughter of Ruth Handler (the creator of the doll), checking in for an appointment with her gynecologist.

The film then cuts to the credits which are filled with old ads and vintage Barbie dolls.

But no, Barbie does not feature a post-credits scene. After the ads and vintage dolls are shown, the film transitions to normal credits before closing out with a pink-filled Warner Bros. logo (that was also seen at the beginning of the film).

Fera not — it does feel like a sequel could still happen should Gerwig's film be a success at the box office. As said in our ending explained post, Barbie leaves the door open for a couple of potential directions. You could explore Robbie's doll in the real world further, or you could have a Toy Story situation where Ken has to bring her back to her homeland.

Barbie follows the titular doll (played by Margot Robbie) on a quest for self-discovery with Ken (Ryan Gosling) as they head into the real world. America Ferrera, Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Emma Mackey, Dua Lipa, Kinglsey Ben-Adir, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, Ariana Greenblatt, and Helen Mirren also star in the film.

Barbie will be released on July 21.
