Barca has a much different look this season after the departure of club legend Lionel Messi but their squad took another big hit with Antoine Griezmann heading out on loan to Atletico Madrid. Unfortunately, it had to be done in order to help Barcelona's financial situation, but it left manager Ronald Koeman pretty irritated. Via Goal News:

With Griezmann back at Atletico, it also leaves Koeman with a lack of legitimate options in the final third for Barca. Memphis Depay will be relied upon heavily to score lots of goals and he's impressed thus far, netting twice and supplying an assist in three appearances.

The La Liga giants also have a €40 million option to buy in place with Atletico if they want Griezmann on a full-time basis at the season's end. The Frenchman even took a 40% pay cut in order to re-join his former club. As for Koeman, it's clearly a frustrating situation because Griezmann was expected to be a big part of his squad with Messi leaving, but on the other hand, the Dutch tactician is all for getting Barca out of debt.

The likes of Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets all took reduced wages as well to help Barcelona's finances. It's unknown how the La Liga standouts will do this season, but everyone is doing their part to put the team in a much better position.
