Former Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte is one of the most prolific players in recent franchise history. Unfortunately, it seems he did not part ways with the team on the best of terms.

ESPN's “The Last Dance” documentary featured the fallout the occurred due to the decisions of then-Chicago Bulls general manager Jerry Krause. Watching the special was enough to spur Forte totake to Twitter criticize his on former front office in Chicago:

Forte went on to elaborate by citing the treatment of head coach Lovie Smith, linebacker Brian Urlacher, and a number of other notable players.

It is safe to say that Forte was not looking to pull any punches when it cam to former general managers Jerry Angelo and Phil Emery. The unceremonious departures of Smith, Urlacher, along with linebacker Lance Briggs and cornerback Charles Tillman was enough to show him the business side of the NFL.

Of course, it was only a matter of time before Forte got to experience it firsthand after revealing the disloyalty from Angelo. He provided the Bears with plenty of bang for their buck during the 2011 campaign when he earned Pro Bowl honors while playing on a $600k salary. The incident was clearly more than enough to disrupt the chemistry between the players and the front office.

Forte would later walk back his comments and ensure that there was no sense if bad blood between him and his former general managers. Regardless, the damage was done and Bears fans have since been left to question what led to this talented team's downfall.
