Joe Burrow's father got jokes! After his son signed a massive rookie deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, the Burrow patriarch wants his son to get out of their basement.

“We finally got him outta our basement,” Jimmy Burrow jokingly told ESPN Radio, per Bleacher Report.

The Bengals' No.1 pick signed a huge four-year, $36 million rookie contract with the Bengals. Moreover, the said deal has a $23.9 million signing bonus, which should certainly be enough to get Joe his own place.

“It was a process. there was language that needed to be ironed out. As a parent, you get a little nervous when it isn't a done deal.” Jimmy explained when discussing the rigors of his son's first professional contract, per The Advocate. “Robin and I are happy. Joe's happy. He's just glad to get that part behind him.”

Joe Burrow was, of course, the top prospect in the recent 2020 NFL draft where he was happily snagged by the Bengals. After a few years playing for Ohio State, the star quarterback moved to LSU where his career skyrocketed.

In his second and final year for the Tigers, Burrow posted a career-best 5,671 passing yards for 60 passing touchdowns. He was awarded the 2019 Heisman Trophy and capped off his astonishing career in LSU with a national title win over Clemson earlier this 2020.

With all the contract talks done and training camp finally underway, look for Burrow to prove that he's worth every penny as he begins his NFL career this September with the Bengals.
