Joe Burrow gets Louisiana road named after him

Joe Burrow, Bengals

Louisiana has literally put quarterback Joe Burrow on the map. The Cincinnati Bengals’ 2020 top pick has just been given the honor to have a street named after him.

Scottie Hunter of WAFB took to Twitter to to give Bengals fans a sneak peak of the new Burrow Road near the LSU campus in Baton Rouge.

A road sign of great things to come for the young QB?

The state of Louisiana honoring Joe Burrow with his own street shouldn’t come as a surprise given that the 23-year-old had one of the greatest quarterback seasons in college history as a member of the LSU Tigers.

The new Bengals QB led the LSU to an incredible 15-0 season, including a victory over Clemson in the 2020 National Championship Game where he had a total of six touchdowns en route to winning the game’s offensive MVP.

The 2019 Heisman Trophy winner had an outstanding final season for the Tigers, setting multiple records as their main playmaker. Burrow broke the single-season record of passing touchdowns with 60 and tallied a total of 5,671 passing yards, which currently ranks him as third all-time. He also recorded an incredible 202 passer rating, which cemented him as the best prospect coming out of the NCAA.

The Iowa native was a no-brainer as this year’s top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he is set to be the starting signal-caller for the Bengals. Hopefully, Burrow immediately brings out that flare he showcased in Louisiana to Cincinnati to give the squad a much-needed offensive boost.

Who knows, maybe we’ll be seeing a Burrow Avenue in Ohio sometime soon?
