Cincinnati Bengals superstar Joe Burrow didn't hide his disappointment over the controversial Supreme Court decision that overturns Roe v. Wade.

The ruling has been leaked last May, but it didn't lessen the devastation and sting that many felt after the decision has been made official. Roe vs. Wade being overturned meant that the constitutional right to abortion is now gone, with each state getting the power to enact their own abortion laws without getting in conflict with the rule.

For those not in the know, with Roe, abortions during the first two trimesters of pregnancy were permitted. Because of Roe v. Wade going down, several states are expected to ban abortion or restrict it.

Of course the decision has its fans, with the common argument of many being that those who doesn't like the ruling are people who support killing babies. In response to this, Burrow took to social media to make his stance on abortion clear. The Bengals quarterback highlighted what many supporters overlook when it comes to the impact of the decision, beyond just the “pro life” argument.

“I'm not pro-murdering babies. I'm pro-Becky who found out at her 20 week anatomy scan that the infant she had been so excited to bring into this world had developed without life sustaining organs,” Burrow wrote.

“I'm pro-Susan who was sexually assaulted on her way home from work, only to come to the horrific realization that her assailant planted his seed in her when she got a positive pregnancy test result a month later.

“I'm pro-Theresa who hemorrhaged due to a placental abruption, causing her parents, spouse, and children to have to make the impossible decision on whether to save her or her unborn child.

“I'm pro-little Cathy who had her innocence ripped away from her by someone she should have been able to trust and her 11 year old body isn't mature enough to bear the consequence of that betrayal.”

Joe Burrow certainly couldn't have said it any better. Instead of condemning the Roe v. Wade overturn alone and saying how it takes away women's rights, he emphasized how it could really make life hard and more painful for women.

Burrow is not alone in his sentiment. Aside from the Bengals star, several NBA and NFL players have also took a stand against the ruling.
