UFC Louisville: Jared Cannonier vs. Nassourdine Imavov continues on the prelims with a fight in the bantamweight division between Andrea Lee and Montana De La Rosa. Lee comes into this fight on a losing skid dropping each of her last four fights meanwhile, De La Rosa also has hit a rough patch losing each of her last three fights. Andrea Lee (13-9) has hit a rough stretch losing four straight fights albeit to elite competition in the women's flyweight division. Her most recent defeat was against Miranda Maverick who outworked Lee for the fight. Lee will be looking to finally get back into the win column when she takes on Montana De La Rosa this weekend at UFC Louisville.
Montana De La Rosa (12-9-1) is making her first appearance of 2024 on a three-fight losing streak. She most recently dropped a decision against JJ Aldrich in her most recent loss. De La Rosa will be looking to stop the bleeding when she takes on Andrea Lee this weekend in Louisville.

Why Andrea Lee Will Win
Andrea Lee has hit a rough patch in her UFC career as she is on the heels of four consecutive losses. Her most recent defeat was against surging flyweight contender Miranda Maverick and is now looking to get back into the win column when she takes fellow struggling flyweight Montana De La Rosa this weekend at UFC Louisville.
Lee was once considered a surging contender in the women's flyweight division as she rattled off three straight wins to start her UFC career only to drop three in a row and subsequently go on a 2-7 run after her first three wins inside the Octagon. “KGB” does her best work on the feet where she can utilize her movement and her volume to overwhelm her opponents much like she did in her first encounter against De La Rosa back in 2019. While De La Rosa did land 5 takedowns in that matchup, she had less than 4 minutes of control time as Lee did a good job at getting back to her feet. Once the fight was on the feet, Lee ran away with the feet out striking De La Rosa with relative ease. As for how this fight goes expect Lee to do more of the same, look to keep this fight standing, and out-strike De La Rosa to get back into the win column.
Why Montana De La Rosa Will Win
Montana De La Rosa has seen better days as she has now lost three fights in a row, most recently dropping a decision to JJ Aldrich. It's now been three years since De La Rosa last tasted victory and now she will be looking for her first win in quite some time against a familiar foe when she faces off against Andrea Lee this weekend in Louisville.
Montana De La Rosa hasn't really changed much over the years in the UFC. She is still the same one-noted grappler as she was coming into the UFC. It's hard to expect anything different out of her coming into this rematch with Andrea Lee. While that may not seem like a good thing it's certainly the best path for her in this fight considering Lee's biggest weakness is her defensive grappling. It boils down to if De La Rosa can land the takedowns and do a better job at controlling Lee this time around she can finally right the ship and get back into the win column.

This is a rematch that we didn't really want but we got it anyway. As for this matchup, it's hard to expect anything different in the rematch as these two fighters haven't changed a bit since they last fought. It's going to come down to whether or not De La Rosa can control Lee this time around when she lands takedowns but I'll go with the latter. De La Rosa will land some takedowns but in Andrea Lee fashion she works her way back to the feet and just does more than De La Rosa and gets the nod on the judge's scorecards.
