It is an AL West showdown as the Los Angeles Angels visit the Houston Astros. It is time to continue our MLB odds series with an Angels-Astros prediction and pick.

The Angeles took game one of the series on Monday. The Astros have built a solid lead. After the Angels scored in the top of the first, the Astros scored in the second and fourth to take a 6-1 lead. The Angels would homer three times in the fifth, and again in the sixth to take the 9-6 lead. The Astros got one back in the ninth, but it would not be enough as the Angels won 9-7.

The two will face again on Tuesday night. Griffin Canning will be on the mounds for the Angels. He is 2-4 with a 5.21 ERA. Christian Javier will be going for the Astros. He is 3-1 with a 3.23 ERA.

Final Angels-Astros Prediction & Pick

Neither team has played great this year. The Angels were expected to struggle with Ohtani gone, and now Mike Trout on the IL. The Astros were not expected to struggle, but have. Both offenses are scoring at a similar rate, but the Astros are hitting better overall. They will get the win in this one.
