The Los Angeles Dodgers are starting their east coast swing as they visit the Pittsburgh Pirates. It is time to continue our MLB odds series with a Dodgers-Pirates prediction and pick.
The Dodgers come into the series sitting at 38-23 on the year. That is good for first place in the NL West, 6.5 games ahead of the Padres. They have won five of their last six games overall as well. Meanwhile, the Pirates are 27-32 on the year, which is good for fourth in the NL Central. They lost two of three with the Blue Jays over the weekend. They are coming off a road trip in which they lost three of five games.

Further, he has stolen 14 bases and scored 431 times this year. Joining him in driving in runs is Teoscar Hernandez. Hernandez has hit .255 this year with a .323 on-base percentage. He has 11 doubles, a triple, and 12 home runs. Further, Hernandez has driven in 38 runs, while also scoring 33 times.
Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts continue to have great years as well. Freeman is hitting .293 on the year with a .399 on-base percentage. He has 16 doubles, two triples, and seven home runs on the year. Further, Freeman has 35 RBIs and 35 runs scored. Betts is leading the team in runs scored. He has scored 43 times, with the help of a .318 on-base percentage and a .412 on-base percentage. He has 14 doubles, three triples, and nine home runs this year. That has led to 32 RBIs on the year.
The Dodgers are third in the majors in team ERA while sitting second in WHIP and second in opponent batting average. Tyler Gladsnow will be on the mound for the Dodgers in this one. He is 6-3 with a 3.04 ERA and a .91 WHIP. Glasgow has not won a decision since his first start in May and has given up ten runs in 24 innings of work since then, going 0-2. Current members of the Pirates have 22 career at-bats against Glasnow, hitting .227 on him with two home runs and four RBIIs.

Connor Joe has also been solid. He is hitting .280 on the year with a .354 on-base percentage. Joe has 14 doubles and six home runs leading to 24 RBIs. He also leads the team with 33 runs scored.
Oneil Cruz has been slugging well. He has hit .245 on the year with a .300 on-base percentage. Cruz also has seven home runs and 20 RBIs, while scoring 24 times. Meanwhile, Andrew McCutchen continues to produce. McCutchen is hitting just .239 but has a .334 on-base percentage. He has eight home runs and 20 RBIs while scoring 29 runs this year.
The Pirates are 14th in team ERA while sitting 14th in WHIP and 14th in opponent batting average. Jared Jones will be on the mound for the Pirates. He is 3-5 with a 3.55 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP. Last time out was a struggle. Joens allowed seven runs, with five earned, in 4.1 innings, taking the loss to the Tigers. In May, Jones with 29.1 innings, giving up 16 runs, with 13 earned. The Pirates have had some solid performances as of late, but those have been fully based on pitching. Without solid pitching, the Pirates will struggle. The offense for the Pirates will struggle against Tyler Glasnow, and the Dodger's offense is going to be too much for the Pirates in this one. Take the Dodgers to get an easy win on Tuesday.
