Week 10 of the NFL will provide us with a thriller between two elite NFC teams! The Seattle Seahawks will take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. It's time to continue our NFL odds series with a Seahawks-Packers prediction and pick.
The return of both quarterbacks couldn't have come at a better time for these two teams. Russell Wilson is back after missing some time with a broken finger on his throwing hand. Wilson had never missed a start in his career, so you know he is excited to get back out there. The Seahawks desperately need him also. They have a good chance to win a majority of their remaining games and put themselves back into a playoff hunt.

Aaron Rodgers missed one game due to COVID-19 and is expected to be activated prior to Sunday's game. The Packers lost a close game to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9 with Jordan Love at QB. It's safe to say the Packers need Rodgers back badly so they can continue their run of success.

Why The Seahawks Could Cover The Spread
The Seahawks can cover this spread because they are getting their star back under center. This will be Wilson's first action back since his brutal hand injury he suffered against the LA Rams in Week 5. The Seahawks are clearly a better team with him playing and so this could set a spark for the offense on Sunday. It's not going to be an easy task as Green Bay is one of the better teams in the NFL (when they are at full strength). Despite their 3-5 record, Seattle is 5-3 against the spread this year.
Wilson just has the one interception on the season even though he played in only five games. If Seattle can play an entire 60 minutes without turning the ball over, then they will be in this game until the final whistle. These two teams are about dead-even when it comes to points scored and points allowed this year. This game could go Seattle's way if they can score early.
Why The Packers Could Cover The Spread
The Packers are currently 8-1 against the spread this year. Betting on the Packers is usually a safe bet, but this is a tricky week to continue to do so. Green Bay can cover this spread if Rodgers comes back and doesn't miss a beat. He's missed some valuable time with the team but the reigning NFL MVP shouldn't have a problem getting back into his groove on Sunday. The Packers' offense is scary when they are all playing, which hasn't been the case since Week 7.
The Packers are going to need to force turnovers on Sunday if they want to win comfortably. That is something Wilson hardly does, but we have seen it before. Green Bay shouldn't have much of a problem scoring points. The main focus is going to be the defense being able to shut down Wilson. We haven't seen Wilson in this position before, so it's on the Packers to make sure he comes out a little rusty and forces mistakes.
Final Seahawks-Packers Prediction & Pick
This is going to be a fun matchup to watch. I think the Packers will cover the spread and move to 8-2 on the season. Green Bay is currently on a seven-game winning streak with Rodgers at QB and the team looks unbeatable. It could be a little rusty at first but once things get going I expect the Packers to win this game by at least a touchdown.
