The Los Angeles Kings will stay in the Bay Area as they take on the San Jose Sharks once again after these two teams played each other on Thursday where the Sharks ultimately beat the Kings 4-3 in overtime. That win gives San Jose a 2-0 lead in the season series so far where tonight's game will be their second game against each other out of three within the same week, as they play again on Thursday in Los Angeles. These teams are rivals for a reason, and it’s time to continue our NHL odds series with a Kings-Sharks prediction and pick.

Article Continues BelowWhy The Kings Can Cover The Spread/Win
The Los Angeles Kings are currently sitting pretty comfortably in second place in the Pacific Division as they look to be a part of the postseason once again for the first time in four years. The Kings have a ton of injuries, including Viktor Arvidsson and possibly Drew Doughty again as he didn't play on Thursday due to an illness. Veteran and star goaltender Jonathan Quick took the loss on Thursday as the Kings have been easing his workload as of late. It's unclear who will get the starting spot between him and Cal Petersen tonight, but both goaltenders have been playing great lately and want to keep a nice lead over the rest of the Pacific Division with a win here tonight.
Why The Sharks Can Cover The Spread/Win
Since the All-Star break, the San Jose Sharks have been awful, putting together a 3-5-3 record and averaging a league-worst 2.00 goals per game while giving up 3.55 goals per game within that period of time. With that said, they seem to have the Kings' number this year as they are 2-0 in their season series so far. A positive outlook for the Sharks: they welcomed back star defenseman Erik Karlsson to their lineup on Thursday after missing 15 games due to arm surgery. The Sharks have been dealing with injuries all year, especially in their goaltending squad, but Adin Hill is expected to return and defend the home crease tonight. He's been shaky this year with a .901 save percentage and a 2.78 goals-against average, but he'll look to step up his game tonight against a hungry Kings team.
Final Kings-Sharks Prediction & Pick
The Kings have been one of the hottest teams since the All-Star break, with an 8-3-1 record. However, they are now 0-1-1 against the Sharks so far this year, despite their 25-point difference in the standings. With that said, it's extremely difficult to beat a team twice in a row, and I don't think the Kings allow the Sharks to walk over them again tonight. The Kings will come out swinging early on in this contest and keep it rolling throughout the game. Give me the Kings Moneyline while it's still listed at relatively decent odds.
