He has allowed 16 runs on 31 hits with nine walks and 51 strikeouts through 42.1 total innings this season. Through the eight games that he has started in this year the Red Sox are 4-4. Pivetta is not on the level of the other pitchers on the staff but has been very good. This is a huge matchup against the Phillies offense with how hot they have been.
