“Prime Time” is a known striker that's dangerous on his feet. Of his 18 professional wins, 14 have come via knockout. He doesn't spend much time on the mat, so don't expect him to come out looking for a takedown. Hall is a very technical fighter who uses his brain just as much as his fists. We'll see how he does at UFC Vegas 33, as defeating Strickland will be huge for Hall's career.
To win this fight, Hall will need to rely on his strengths. He doesn't have the best grappling skills, so keeping this one on the feet is his best bet. Hall has a reach advantage by just over three inches. His best approach will be to keep his distance and utilize the jab to keep his opponent at bay. “Tarzan” is a much more “in your face” style of fighter. Where Hall likes to be technical, Strickland loves to turn his bouts into a war. It seems to be working out for him, as he currently holds a professional record of 23-3. He's a bit of a knockout artist himself, as he has 10 KO/TKO's wins under his belt.
Strickland is a bit more well-rounded than Uriah Hall is, as he's capable of finishing his opponents on the ground. “Tarzan” will likely keep it on the feet though, as he loves turning his fights into a slugfest. However, the smartest route would be to go for a takedown and deliver nasty ground and pound for an early stoppage. Strickland's typical game plan is chaos. Strickland's chances of success will improve throughout the bout if he can force his opponent into an all-out war.
