The TCU Horned Frogs and Kansas Jayhawks are meeting for the third time in one and a half weeks. That's a very rare scenario in college basketball odds history, but it's true. TCU and Kansas played twice in three days last week, which was the result of a COVID-19-based alteration to the schedule. TCU won the first game at home, and Kansas then won the second game on its own home floor. TCU won relatively comfortably, while Kansas trailed for a good portion of its win before rallying down the stretch. Keep these points in mind when making your TCU Kansas prediction.

TCU is safely in the NCAA Tournament. Big 12 Tournament odds experts might know that TCU made only two NCAA Tournaments in the 35 seasons which immediately preceded coach Jamie Dixon's arrival in Fort Worth before the 2016-2017 season. Dixon will make two NCAA appearances when he coaches in March Madness next week. Dixon is an outstanding coach who wins no matter where he is. What's especially impressive about his body of work is that he won big at Pittsburgh, which was not a blue-blood program, and has now been able to attain a higher level of success at TCU, a historically downtrodden college basketball school. TCU just came back from a 20-point deficit to beat Texas in the Big 12 Tournament quarterfinals. This team is on a roll and is full of belief.

Kansas saw Baylor lose in the Big 12 quarterfinals. The Jayhawks know that if they win the Big 12 Tournament, there's a very good chance they could move to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Kansas played four games last week. The Jayhawks were tired. They really needed four days off. They looked fresh as a daisy in crushing West Virginia in the Big 12 quarterfinals on Thursday. Take note of that when making a TCU Kansas pick.

Why TCU Could Cover the Spread

The Horned Frogs are playing their best basketball of the year at the right time. They beat Kansas and nearly swept Kansas in last week's pair of games between the two teams. TCU is getting contributions from everyone on the roster, and the Frogs don't flinch when an opponent takes a solid lead against them. They fight back. They are playing well and winning in the Big 12, the toughest top-to-bottom conference in the country.

Why Kansas Could Cover the Spread

The Jayhawks have gotten two looks at TCU. Now they get a third look at the Frogs, but they are much, much fresher — physically and mentally — for this third meeting. TCU had to use a lot of energy to come back from 20 down against Texas. Kansas cruised to an easy win over West Virginia. That's a recipe for a Kansas blowout.

Final TCU-Kansas Prediction & Pick

Kansas could certainly blow the doors off this game, but TCU is competing too well right now to be doubted with an eight-point spread. The Frogs are so focused that it will be hard for Kansas to pull away and win this game by 12 or 15 points.

Final TCU-Kansas Pick: TCU +8
