There will be plenty of teams resting their starters in Week 17 and the Buffalo Bills will be one of them. According to Ian Rapoport, Buffalo will rest some of their starters in Week 17, including running back Devin Singletary.

Singletary has impressed in his rookie season with 775 rushing yards on 151 carries and two touchdowns. The first-year running back out of Florida Atlantic has also hauled in 29 receptions for 194 yards and another two scores.

The Bills' offense is predicated on running the ball and taking shots down the field with Josh Allen. Provided that, it's crucial for Buffalo to have a healthy version of Singletary in the postseason.

Besides Singletary, the Bills will also be resting Cole Beasley, John Brown, Tre'Davious White, and Dawson Knox. Among the starters who will play, it's interesting that Buffalo will deploy Allen to begin Sunday's game versus the New York Jets.

The Bills obviously want Allen to get a few more reps in Week 17 so he can get into a rhythm before the playoffs. Even though Allen is going to be starting, he won't have his usual arsenal of weapons on the field.

Heading into Sunday, the Bills can't improve or worsen their playoff seeding against the Jets. Therefore, Sean McDermott could choose to bench the rest of his starters as the game progresses.

Regardless of what happens in Week 17, Buffalo is going to be the No. 5 seed in the AFC. For them to make a deep playoff run, they are going to need everyone to be healthy. Therefore, it's wise for them to give a week off to a few of their key starters in preparation for the playoffs.
