The Buffalo Bills made quite a splash with the acquisition of wide receiver Stefon Diggs this offseason. Given his tumultuous saga toward the end of his stint with the Minnesota Vikings, it appears no one was happier for the fresh start than Diggs himself.

According to Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News, Diggs was admittedly to hear that he had joined the Bills:

Stefon Diggs says he was “super excited” when he first heard he was being traded to the Bills. Says the first thing he thought about was the game he lost against Buffalo with the Vikings.

The excitement from Diggs is certainly understandable considering Buffalo's status as a bonafide playoff contender in the AFC East Division. He already got a taste of what their formidable defense has to offer after they limited him to just four receptions and 17 yards during their dominant 27-6 victory over Minnesota in Week 3 of the 2018 campaign.

Diggs spent the bulk of his tenure with the Vikings serving as a complementary option to wide receiver Adam Thielen, however, he is now the No. 1 wideout in the passing game for quarterback Josh Allen. While Allen's accuracy is still a work in progress, his tremendous arm strength should create some exciting opportunities for Diggs downfield.

The Bills have boasted one of the most efficient run games in the NFL over the past two years. Regardless, their newfound firepower between Allen and Diggs could spur offensive coordinator Brian Daboll to go for a more balanced approach in the 2020 campaign.
