Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard has been quite generous with his compliments of late. After labeling Kevin Durant as the best player in the game today, Dame quickly turned his attention to Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

Lillard made his opinion on the whole GOAT shooter debate abundantly clear as he heaped praise on Curry:

Lillard isn't a bad shooter himself. He's actually one of the best in the league. Dame is also widely credited for being one of the first originators of the logo shot. Needless to say, Lillard's acumen from distance is elite.

Nevertheless, the Blazers point guard knows that he isn't the best. He did not hesitate in conceding that when it comes to shooting, as Curry is simply second to none. There's no beating around the bush for Lillard here as he proclaimed the Warriors superstar as the greatest shooter of all time.

You always want to see an intense competitive drive from the best players in the game, and we absolutely can't fault Lillard in this respect. However, Dame's humility is also admirable. There's no doubt that the Blazers star will go down in history as one of the greatest shooters to have ever played the game. However, he fully understands that no matter what, Steph will always be the top dog.

For whatever reason, there are still some folks out there that disagree with the notion that Stephen Curry is the GOAT shooter. Perhaps this endorsement from none other than Damian Lillard–himself maybe a Top 10 or Top 20 all-time marksman–should be more than enough to convince the doubters out there.
