The rumors surrounding Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard have circulated ever since they were eliminated in the first round of the NBA Playoffs at the hands of the Denver Nuggets. On Friday came a report that Lillard was going to request a trade in the “days to come” and the buzz picked up once again.

However, Lillard's Blazers teammate Jusuf Nurkic didn't take too kindly to the rumors and blasted them on Twitter in epic fashion.

Henry Abbott of TrueHoop was the first one to release the rumor on Friday morning and apparently Nurkic wasn't too thrilled. Though rumors have been swirling all offseason, Lillard himself has continually backed the organization, although there is certainly a possibility he is just saving face.

Nurkic didn't stop there, though. He also responded to a report by Grant Afseth linking the New York Knicks as a potential landing spot for the Blazers star.

Nurkic is on one and is not happy with the rumors going around. If Lillard does leave, it basically signifies Portland starting over and calling it a time to rebuild.

As NBA free agency approaches and the NBA Draft also approaches, it will be really interesting to watch Lillard and see what happens. He might not get traded at all, and these reports could be nothing, but either way, the Blazers star will surely have teams drooling for his services.
