Floyd Mayweather Jr. is back at it again with a new rant aimed at his former rival Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.

If there's a fighter who has the right to take a jab at Canelo Alvarez at this point, it would be Floyd Mayweather Jr.

To this day, Mayweather is still the lone boxer who had officially beaten Alvarez. Since then, “Money” has developed a habit of dissing the Mexican superstar. And just recently, Mayweather blasted Alvarez over his six-month suspension after testing positive for banned substance in 2018.

According to the self-proclaimed “The Best Ever” (TBE), people may have completely forgotten about it as they have been blinded by Alvarez's success. Moreover, Mayweather claimed that he wasn't even sure if the multi-division champ was clean when they faced each other inside the ring.

“What we don't talk about is, Canelo, Canelo, Canelo. Steroids, steroids, steroids!” Mayweather told the press at the recent Gervonta Davis-Isaac Cruz pay-per-view event via Marca. “We don't talk about that, so we don't know all the fighters he beat. He could have been not clean in a lot of fights.”

“I don't know [if Canelo was clean during their 2013 fight],” he continued. “That kid was a cakewalk. He was easy for me.”

Mayweather went on to reckon that though Alvarez is “a helluva fighter,” he's cowering away from two-time WBC super middleweight champion David Benavidez.

“Canelo's a helluva fighter, but in my personal opinion, he's ducking David Benavidez,” the 44-year-old added. “Do I like this [cruiserweight] fight [against Makabu]? Absolutely not. We wanna see Benavidez.”
