The Denver Broncos recently hired former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator to be their new head coach. However, that's not the only big change the franchise could be making this offseason. As has been reported in the news lately, the Broncos have been in the process of talks for a possible sale of the franchise, which hasn't occurred without obstacles. However, on Tuesday, the Broncos made a major announcement regarding the sale of the franchise, via the team's Twitter account.

Per the announcement, the Broncos primary ownership group, the Pat Bowlen Trust, is entering the “beginning process of a sale” of the Denver franchise.

While the sale process of an NFL franchise is understandably complex, the ownership group hopes to have it completed before the 2022 season begins.

Joe Ellis, President of the Broncos, issued a statement saying how important Denver's football team is to the region and making it known that the next owner will “certainly understand what the team means” to the fans and the community.
