Week 9 of the NFL was a shocking display of football. Multiple upsets happened and one insane game on Sunday was the Denver Broncos vs. the Dallas Cowboys. Nobody gave Denver a chance, but the team came together and smacked Dallas around all day.

However, it seems the Cowboys gave the Broncos the fuel they needed to win the game. According to Pro Football Talk, Denver felt “disrespected” by the fourth-down attempts in the first quarter. The team didn't take it too lightly, and they proved that by dominating the entire game.

There were two times the Cowboys went for it on fourth down in the first quarter. It was aggressive and probably unnecessary. Dallas is a much better team than the Broncos and likely didn't have to jeopardize leaving points on the board in the early portion of the game. Denver buckled down and prevented the Cowboys from gaining the first down on both attempts, lighting a fire in the Broncos' defense.

That fire trickled over to the offense, which Teddy Bridgewater mentioned in a postgame interview.

“You take the field with a little anger, honestly.”

The Broncos quarterback expressed how the situation motived the entire team, as well as the offense, “It’s like, ‘Hey, man, they're going for it because they're saying our offense is not going to score or something.' We talked about it in the huddle, and we used it as motivation.”

Dallas attempted to put the game away early and it failed. Instead, they lit a fire under the Broncos and pushed the team to dominate one of the best squads in the NFC. It was an impressive performance and this Denver team should carry this momentum into their Week 10 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

We'll see how it plays out, but the Broncos have been a surprisingly good team so far. As long as this team remains motivated, they have a chance to beat anybody.
