The Denver Broncos has seen its defense get old real quick. Couple that with an iffy offense, and it appears as though there's little hope to save Denver's season. The awful play by the Broncos isn't lost on defensive lineman Derek Wolfe, who did not hold back his thoughts on their awful play.

“I think we stink … It’s just sad. It’s real sad,” Wolfe said, via the Denver Post. “It’s sad that we went from a championship-caliber team to a team that stinks and nobody respects us.”

Denver, once again, got pounced on Sunday night. A week after giving up all the points to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Broncos gave up all the points to the New England Patriots.

Vance Joseph has come under fire this season for the iffy play at the quarterback position. Rightfully so, though, it should be noted that John Elway provided him with nothing but bad options at the position.

The defense, as it was the case for the last few years, was meant to be Denver's saving grace. However, as we have been learning this season, it appears as though the team's time having a dominant defense has gone the way of the dinosaurs.

It might be more complicated than that, as a new coaching staff could also be playing a role in the demise of the defense. Either way, it doesn't really matter, as Derek Wolfe isn't wrong in saying it is all just sad.

Him putting voice to it, though, is a bit strange. Especially with a lot of football left. Then again, ain't a man walking the planet who would want to trifle with Wolfe. He can say whatever he wants.
