The Denver Broncos have finally agreed to terms with rookie quarterback Drew Lock, according to Pro Football Talk.

Lock, who played his collegiate football at the University of Missouri, was selected by the Broncos in the second round (42nd pick overall) of the NFL Draft back in April. However, because Lock was apparently seeking a quarterback premium, he remained unsigned until now.

The 22-year-old is coming off of a senior campaign in which he threw for 3,498 yards, 28 touchdowns and eight interceptions while completing 62.9 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 147.7.

Lock arrived at Missouri in 2015, but played only sparingly during his freshman year. He then became the full-time starter for the Tigers the following season, finishing with 3,399 yards, 23 touchdowns and 10 picks while completing 54.6 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 133.3.

Then, during his junior year, Lock threw for 3,964 yards, 44 touchdowns and 13 interceptions while completing 57.8 percent of his passes and recording a passer rating of 165.7.

In the lead-up to the draft, most felt that Lock would be a first-round pick, with some even surmising that he could go in the top 10, but Kyler Murray, Daniel Jones and Dwayne Haskins all went before him, causing Lock to slip to the second round.

Lock will be competing with Joe Flacco for the starting quarterback job in Denver.

The Broncos won just six games this past year, marking the first time since 1972 that they logged back-to-back losing seasons. Denver has not made the playoffs since winning the Super Bowl during the 2015-16 campaign.
