Not often does an offensive coordinator and a defensive coordinator go after each other in the public eye, but when it's an organization like the Cleveland Browns, anything is possible. Todd Haley and Greg Williams got into a screaming match after one of the defensive players hit Baker Mayfield.

A lot of people weren't a fan of the dust-up although Mayfield actually was a fan of it.

“It is just a fiery competition,” Mayfield told reporters on Tuesday via Pro Football Talk. “You want practice to be like that. You want to challenge each other. That is the type of competition that you need every day if you want to see your team get better. You get two sides of the ball that care about it that much, it is important to you. That is the way that it should be, but there are certain measures that you need to take to protect your quarterbacks. That is the emphasis of it.”

Haley wasn't happy with anyone touching Mayfield, and he made sure everyone was aware of it. Williams shouted back telling Haley it wouldn't have happened if someone would have blocked him.

This is the same Williams who was suspended for a year for his role in the bounty-gate scandal and his defense over the years has been known for taking some cheap shots.

Most teams have a rule that the quarterback is off limits for the defense to hit and although Mayfield still might have been mad about getting hit he didn't mind the battle between the two coaches.
