The Tampa Bay Buccaneers needed a huge comeback to defeat the New York Jets, 28-24 on Sunday. That was very unexpected. But that was the least unexpected thing to happen in that game.

Antonio Brown is no longer with the team after an on-field incident. A few moments later, Brown posted to his Instagram account a message to the Buccaneers.

Despite all of the crazy drama, Brown appears to be taking the high road on his way out. He thanked the team for the opportunity.

Early in the third quarter, Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians asked Brown to go back into the game repeatedly. Brown refused. The reason for the refusal is not yet known. But after refusing to take the field again, Arians told him to get out. Brown proceeded to take off his shoulder pads, jersey, and other equipment, tossing them into the stands and walking across the end zone shirtless into the locker room.

After the game, Arians announced that Brown is no longer a member of the Buccaneers.

Brown reportedly needed a police escort leaving MetLife Stadium. Video on social media showed Brown driving around New York City and shortly afterward, he released his new rap song.

That is a big blow to a team with Super Bowl hopes. The Buccaneers already are without Pro Bowl wide receiver Chris Godwin who tore his ACL two weeks ago in a shutout loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Tom Brady, in typical fashion, didn't seem to notice the absence of Brown. Brady led the Buccaneers on a game-winning touchdown drive, capped off by a pass to Cyril Grayson with 15 seconds left. Brady finished the game 34-of-50 for 410 yards and three touchdowns.

With the win, Tampa Bay improved to 12-4 and moved into the no. 3 seed in the NFC.
