The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have caught fire at the right time of the season. They’re in first place in the NFC South and are well on their way to a playoff spot. However, this team is dealing with Antonio Brown, who is currently serving a three-game suspension. He’s an important player to the team, but Brown has stirred the pot. This has created a difficult decision for Bruce Arians.

According to Greg Auman, Arians has yet to come up with a decision regarding Antonio Brown’s status with the Buccaneers. When Brown first signed with the organization in 2020, Arians made his standards clear. The veteran superstar receiver clearly broke the rules, putting his future in Tampa Bay in question.

It’s been speculated the Buccaneers may opt to cut Brown from the roster. However, considering his talent and the playoffs just around the corner, Bruce Arians may choose to keep him on the team after all. Tampa Bay has proven they don’t necessarily need Antonio Brown to succeed, but having him in the postseason could be the difference-maker.

There is no question that Brown is an elite talent, as he’s been a reliable pass option when healthy. The Buccaneers are attempting to win back-t0-back Super Bowls and might be considering giving Brown another chance. On the other hand, he is a distraction to the team and brings unwanted attention to the franchise.

At the end of the day, the Buccaneers will make the choice they feel is best for the organization. With how tight the NFL is right now, Tampa Bay seems to be leaning on keeping Antonio Brown for their playoff push. We won’t know the answer until he comes off suspension, which won’t be until after Week 16.

Until then, look for the Buccaneers to give themselves a commanding lead on the NFC South, as they take on the New Orleans Saints in their next game.
