The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are holding their collective breath over wide receiver Chris Godwin, who may have suffered a knee injury after taking a brutal hit during their Week 15 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

The Buccaneers wide receiver was tackled low by Saints safety PJ Williams, which led to brutal contact on his right leg. Watch the gruesome hit below:

Godwin was brought to the medical tent which ignited fears of a serious injury. But he didn't stay for long as the Buccaneers wideout was seen sprinting on the sidelines to test his knee not long after, making a personal bid to be the dictionary definition of toughness.

While the severity of the injury remains unclear, the fact that he's even able to walk around on his own power, let alone run on his tender knee, bodes well for his recovery.

Chris Godwin entered the week as the second-leading pass catcher in the NFL and is as vital part of the Buccaneers offense as anyone not named Tom Brady. Hopefully the injury is nothing too serious and he can get back on the field sooner rather than later as Tampa Bay makes its bid for a second consecutive Super Bowl win.
