Jameis Winston took over the starting quarterback job for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers yesterday after Ryan Fitzpatrick struggled to begin the game. It was a sad ending to the “Fitzmagic” trend that had taken the league by storm, but fans are excited to see what Winston can do now that he is back from suspension.

Many questions surrounding the quarterback situation in Tampa Bay have been coming up. Is it a sure thing that Winston will start? That's the biggest question at this point in time.

According to a report from Greg Auman of The Athletic, head coach Dirk Koetter has said that Winston has probably done enough to start in Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Tampa Bay was an absolute nightmare this week against the Chicago Bears. They were hoping to move to 3-1 on the season, but ended up losing by a final score of 48-10 to drop to 2-2. Even when Winston came into the game, the Buccaneers had no answer for what the Bears were throwing at them.

Throughout the part of the game that he played, Winston ended up completing 16 of his 20 passes for 145 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. It wasn't a great performance, but apparently, Koetter saw what he was looking for from his quarterback.

Looking ahead at the future, it is very likely that Winston will keep the starting job for the rest of the season. Tampa Bay knows that there is no future with Fitzpatrick under center. The entire franchise has been built around Winston and they need him to get his career back on track.

Expect to see Winston take the starting job back over next week and don't be surprised if “Fitzmagic” doesn't return to the field this season.
