Tom Brady is going to have the chance to throw to the best wide receiver duo in the NFL: Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. However, it was another wide receiver that stood out as Brady's favorite option when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers scrimmaged on Friday. Following his impressive outing, Brady spoke about his apparent rapport with Scotty Miller.

“He’s another great, consistent, dependable, trustworthy player,” Tom Brady said, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. “Whatever we talk about, he takes it to the next practice and his play is showing everybody that he’s earned a big role. You can trust where he’s going to be, he makes the plays when they come his way. He’s really been fun to work with and fun to see grow from the minute I got here.”

In Friday's intrasquad scrimmage, Tom Brady drew rave reviews from head coach Bruce Arians. The 43-year-old quarterback would complete 13 of his 18 passes for 170 yards and one touchdown. He would also lead the offense to another score that Ronald Jones would punch in from one-yard out.

Of Brady's 13 completions, four of them went to Miller, who turned his four receptions into 84 yards. Miller, a sixth-round pick for the Buccaneers in 2019, has apparently built a strong connection with Tom Brady this offseason.

Ahead of the 2020 season, Arians has already let it be known that Tampa Bay's offense will run the majority of their offense out of 12 personnel. Therefore, the Buccaneers will mainly have just two wide receivers on the field for Tom Brady. While Evans and Godwin are expected to command the most targets at wide receiver, Miller may carve himself a role as the No. 3 wideout this season.
