Tom Brady forgoing his retirement and going back to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers gives them at least one more year to contend for a championship. Not only does Brady still remain one of the best quarterbacks in the game, but the Bucs get the advantage of attracting Brady's friends and former teammates to join him.

The most recent ex-teammate of Brady to join the Bucs is a defensive captain who should be a huge addition to the Tampa Bay secondary. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Buccaneers are signing safety Logan Ryan, who spent four seasons with Brady on the New England Patriots. He also picked off the last pass Brady threw with the Patriots.

The 31-year-old Ryan spent the last two seasons with the New York Giants. He recorded a career-high 117 total tackles in 15 games last season. After Jordan Whitehead left to sign with the New York Jets, the Buccaneers were in need of a safety. They found one very quickly in a veteran who can serve a lot of roles on a very good defense.

Tampa Bay is the perfect attraction for veterans who are looking to secure a ring. Not only does the team have lots of talent, but they also have lots of premium opportunities for older players to contribute. Ryan joins a defense that boasts Shaquil Barrett, Vita Vea, Devin White and Antoine Winfield Jr.

While the Buccaneers look to add more talent, Brady is doing his part by recruiting Julio Jones. This Bucs roster should be stacked even more once the season rolls around.
