In a stunner, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers went ahead of the Los Angeles Rams by an astonishing three touchdowns in the second quarter, thanks in large part to Jameis Winston and Chris Godwin.

The Buccaneers were already ahead by seven when they found themselves in the red zone early in the second quarter. The Rams got to a third down, but Winston found Godwin with a beautiful pass to complete the drive and double the lead:

Winston found Godwin again for another score not long after:

Winston has struggled in finding his footing as the Buccaneers' franchise QB. He has been inconsistent through his first five seasons with the team, and he's on pace to set a new personal high in sacks. Some fans are understandably running out of patience with him.

However, the performance Winston is having against the Rams is reminding everyone why Tampa Bay picked him with the first overall pick in 2015. The Buccaneers currently lead 28-14 right before the half.
