Giannis Antetokounmpo is missing Brook Lopez, that much is made even more clear after the Milwaukee Bucks blew a 21-point lead and lost to the New York Knicks by 15 points.

To recall, during his postgame presser following their loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 27, Antetokounmpo pleaded Lopez to come back soon. While Giannis was smiling–looking like he was joking–he was serious in his desire to have their big man back.

“But, for sure, I need Brook to get back. I need Brook to get back,” Antetokounmpo said, per The Athletic. “Brook, I don’t know, maybe you are at home right now, Brook, please come back. We need you to rebound the ball, brother.”

On Friday as Brook Lopez missed his eighth straight game due to a lingering back issue, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks were completely dominated by the Knicks on the glass. New York actually collected 59 rebounds–20 of which were offensive boards, creating a huge disparity from the Milwaukee's seven offensive rebounds.

Antetokounmpo's plea from the past week still holds true: they need Lopez. While he doesn't score much or rebound the ball at a high rate, his presence makes a huge difference for the Bucks. After all, his ability to box out and clear the pain allows the rest of the team to gather rebounds.

It remains to be seen when Brook will be back, but Giannis and Co. are surely hoping it's sooner rather than later.
