The Milwaukee Bucks pulled out a nailbiter 127-125 victory on Wednesday night against the Charlotte Hornets, with none other than Giannis Antetokounmpo proving to be the difference-maker.
With just seconds left on the clock, the Greek Freak drove through the lane and finished with a layup, not a dunk. Weird, right? We're so used to seeing him put opponents on a poster. Well, Antetokounmpo's hilarious reaction to how he won the game for the Bucks says it all:
Giannis with the jokes. In all seriousness though, he's still an athletic freak. At that specific moment, it just seemed more logical for him to go with a simple layup instead of slamming it home.
The Bucks superstar had an absolute night, erupting for a game-high 40 points as Milwaukee won their eighth consecutive contest. The Hornets didn't make it easy though, with LaMelo Ball showing out for 36 points as well.
Giannis is truly looking as agile as ever and at 26-years-old, he is in his prime. The bounce and explosiveness he has off the dribble are unmatched and when you pair that with a ridiculous wingspan, Antetokounmpo is frankly unstoppable.
With the Bucks finally at full strength again, they're starting to solidify themselves as one of the best teams in the East after their title run just a number of months ago.
