It's always a welcome sight for those in the hobby to learn which NBA stars collect basketball cards. Of course, among the select few in the league is Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks. The thing is, no one expected him to come out and admit that he's a Bobby Portis card collector – a detail that blew a lot of minds lately.

In a press conference earlier this week, the Greek Freak showed a 2015 Panini Prizm Bobby Portis Light Blue Parallel rookie card to the media. At the same time, the two-time MVP awarded jokingly said that it's going to be worth a lot of money in the future, especially if he gets his teammate to sign it.

But it isn't all about Bobby Portis cards for the Bucks' franchise player. He also boasted another raw Prizm rookie card that belonged to Donte DiVincenzo, Milwaukee's 17th pick from the 2018 NBA Draft. After showing these two cards, Antetokounmpo jokingly said that these cards will be sold if ever he goes broke in the future. This goes along with the advice the Greek Freak's parents gave him to have a backup plan.

After Antetokounmpo's press conference, the particular ungraded Bobby Portis card jumped up on eBay from $5.50 to $35 recently. On the other hand, DiVincenzo's PSA 10 base Prizm rookie card momentarily spiked from $10.50 to $36 before settling down to its current price of $15.

Without a doubt, seeing Antetokounmpo flaunt his teammates' cards is a delight for collectors everywhere. Just be on the lookout for those signed Donte DiVincenzo and Bobby Portis rookie cards being sold in the market because there's a chance they belong to a certain NBA All-Star. And if they do, those in the hobby can expect these cards to fetch a premium if they do belong to the Greek Freak.
