As expected, the Milwaukee Bucks will be without Khris Middleton once again when they play the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series.

Middleton has been officially ruled out of the contest as he continues his recovery from a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee. He has been out since sustaining the injury midway through the first round of the playoffs.

Fortunately for the Bucks, no one else landed on the injury report on their side:

Khris Middleton's absence didn't come as a surprise. Earlier on Saturday, there were already reports about the possibility of him missing out on the do-or-die showdown on Sunday due to injury. According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, he did not progress in his recovery as initially expected despite previous optimism that he would be available at some point in the series against the Celtics.

Making matters worse for the Bucks, there are concerns that Middleton won't be ready to start even if they make it past the Celtics and reach the Eastern Conference Finals.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks cannot think that far in advance, though, especially amid their roller-coaster series with the Celtics. With Middleton out, the rest of the team behind The Greek Freak needs to step up if they want to survive in a hostile environment in Boston.
