Report: Bucks add D1 3-point record-holder Fletcher Magee to Summer League team

Bucks, Fletcher Magee

The Bucks have added undrafted Wofford sharpshooter Fletcher Magee to their Summer League roster, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic:

Magee, now 22 years of age, is a gifted marksman who spent four seasons with Wofford, where he earned two SoCon Player of the Year awards. As a freshman, the Orlando native averaged 13.8 points per game and led the Southern Conference in 3-point shooting percentage.

In his junior season, Magee managed to raise to scoring output to 22.1 points per game and once again led the SoCon in 3-point percentage (43.9).

By the end of his senior season, Magee’s 509 career 3-pointers had set an all-time record for triples made in the NCAA. In his four-year career from 2015 to 2019, he made 509 treys out of 1,169 attempts (43.5%).

In 35 appearances with the Terriers during his senior season, Magee racked up averages of 20.3 points on 43.9 percent shooting from the field (41.9 percent from downtown), 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 31.4 minutes per outing.

Whether or not Magee will be added to the Bucks’ regular-season rotation remains to be seen, but there is no doubting his level of skill beyond the arc.

This year’s Summer League tournament will be held at the Thomas and Mack Center and Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada on the campus of University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Games will begin on July 5 and end on July 15. All 30 teams and two national teams (China and Croatia) are expected to participate.
