Alex Caruso is ready to show the Chicago Bulls why he became a cult hero for Los Angeles Lakers fans. Caruso, who signed a four-year deal that's worth $37 million with the Bulls earlier this week,  isn't a major acquisition for Chicago, but the intangibles he can bring to the table could pay huge dividends for the team just as those did for LeBron James and the Lakers in the past. A selfless player who would willingly exchange opportunities to rack up gaudy stats for anything that would be best for the team, Caruso is expected to fill the gaps for the Bulls.

Via Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic:

“It’s just kind of the player I am, sacrificing for the team,” Caruso said. “There’s guys that get a bunch of shots up. If I wanted to average double figures, I could. I could take a handful of shots a game, and percentages would probably drop a little — probably wouldn’t win as many games. But for me, it’s always just been about winning.

“That’s just been my mentality, and it’s always worked for me, so I just stuck with it. Pouring into other people and pouring into the team usually reaps rewards for the teams and yourself individually.”

In his four seasons in the NBA so far, Caruso has managed to put up averages of 6.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. He can do a little bit of everything, which should make him a likable asset for a Bulls team that's looking to regain respect in the league.
