DeMar DeRozan is having a career resurgence with the Chicago Bulls and everyone is taking notice, including Kevin Durant. The Brooklyn Nets' superstar was all praises for DeRozan after the Bulls forward broke Wilt Chamberlain's record of consecutive games with at least 35 points on 50 percent shooting from the field or better with a sensational performance in Chicago's 125-118 home win over the visiting Sacramento Kings.
Thank you for setting a great example and playing the game with supreme skill @DeMar_DeRozan

DeRozan scattered 38 points on 16/27 shooting from the floor against the Kings. He attempted just one 3-pointer and made it to add to his scoring total Anytime a player breaks or matches a Chamberlain record, it's always going to be news because the Big Dipper was truly something else. He was a statistical monster who was way ahead of his time, someone true basketball fans are wishing they could watch in today's era.
DeRozan is not the physically imposing figure Chamberlain was, but he is able to have his way against opposing defenses. He is absolutely on a groove right now, which is something Durant must be very familiar with, being an efficient scorer himself. But even Durant has never had quite the stretch that DeRozan is having, which only speaks a lot about how lucky the Bulls are that they have DeRozan to keep their heads above water while some of their key players are out with injuries.
