Leading up to the 2022 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls did take some calls on guard Coby White. However, it appears the organization values him quite a bit.

Per K.C. Johnson, the Bulls wanted a young rotational piece and a draft pick for the former North Carolina standout:

As for Coby White, he is more likely to return than not. The Bulls took calls on him leading up to the draft and asked for a young, rotation player and draft pick in return.

As Johnson noted, Chicago does like White because he does give them more shooting and depth behind Lonzo Ball in the Bulls backcourt. White isn't exactly untouchable, but they aren't willing to part ways with him unless the franchise can acquire a legitimate player and draft capital.

White saw his numbers dip in 2021-22 after being demoted to mostly the second unit. He averaged 12.7 points, three rebounds, and 2.9 assists per contest in 61 games while shooting 38% from beyond the arc.

Also, with Ball's health a big concern right now after he missed the majority of last season, it's comforting to know they have Coby White to step in and start alongside Zach LaVine, who is expected to ink a max extension once free agency opens on Thursday evening.
