Brandon “Dashy” Otell recently joined OpTic Chicago after being released by Optic Gaming LA in September. It's been a wild run for the Call of Duty pro who played for OpTic LA for over a year. Now he finds himself on a new team and in a new city. Luckily for Dashy, things seem to be working out for him in Chicago

Reassigned

It's only been a little over a month since Dashy joined OpTic Chicago's lineup but he's already feeling comfortable. Fortunately, the Canadian Call of Duty professional found a place where he could truly play with no worries. Players need more than millions of dollars spent on gaming houses no matter how enticing shiny facilities may seem. Dashy had this to say about his new team situation.

“I’ve now experienced both sides of OpTic, the real and ‘fake' side, I guess you could say. I’m just glad to be with Hector and everyone that is involved with OpTic. It definitely feels like a family here. I’m just so excited for the season to get going.”

Undoubtedly, it's the perfect holiday gift for both Dashy and his new team. OpTic Chicago gains an experienced Call of Duty veteran while Dashy finds a new esports home. It still remains to be seen if this new partnership will prove to be fruitful but it has indeed gotten off on the right foot.

We can hopefully see great things from both Dashy and OpTic Chicago in the 2021 season of Call of Duty.
